In the presence of the Grand Master, Daniel von Rechitar, and the highest authorities of the Order, the Priory of Lazio was inaugurated on Sunday 4 June 2023 with the appointment of the lawyer. Gianluca Palaia as Grand Prior.
The Castelluccia Castle in Rome, venue of the event and a manor house of valuable historical-medieval importance, lent itself in an extraordinary way to the functionality and sacredness of the moment; in fact in the small church of the same, the Grand Sacristan, Most Reverend Gianluca De Lucia, was able to formalize the Holy Mass and bless the mantles before the Grand Master initiated into the Order about twenty postulants named Knights and Dames in the context.
This was followed by the Gala Lunch which experienced its magical moment in the cutting of the cake, where the Grand Master, having stripped himself of his royal robes in the meantime, demonstrated his skills as a swordsman, without failing however to underline that this gesture indicates sharing and the mutual support between each Knight.
